We support our black community!

Although we’re a small company, we recognize the responsibility we have by being the change we wish to see in the world. We’re proud of the diversity in our studios and creating a space of inclusiveness.

Honor supports the rights of people to express the profound pain felt across the country through peaceful demonstration and protest. For too long, our Black colleagues, trainers, staff, and their families have been confronting issues of racism and brutality. We feel your anger and are listening. We do not tolerate hate, racism or injustice. We are committed to creating a space where we love and empower each other and listen with open minds and open hearts. While we are deeply proud of the community we have fostered, it’s clear that we can do more. Let us stand together with the Black community in the pursuit of equality and justice and push for change.

To that end, We are announcing that on behalf of Honor Yoga we are taking the following steps to address systemic racial injustice in ways we can support.

We will establish an Diversity Advisory Board, made up of staff members and community members with different racial and ethnic backgrounds. Maria Turco our founder and CEO with the Honor Leadership Team will work directly with this board to develop specific actions to root out bias, promote and recognize the successes and contributions of our diverse employee and member base, and continue towards an inclusive culture that is the very best version of Honor. Importantly, this group not only provides a voice, but it is an opportunity for our Leadership Team to listen and to learn. Lastly, we will partner with this group to determine other organizations that we can support, contribute our time and mobilize our community to affect long-term and sustainable change for the Black community or any community going forward that may be subjected to injustice.

Our work on this issue is not temporary. We are committed to implementing these changes for the long-term.

We will strive to continue to be the change we wish to see in the world.
