What Past Attendees are Saying!

Orenda is a beautiful space with breathtaking views of the mountains, but it is the people that made the retreat so memorable. After practicing a Honor Pennington for nearly 5 years, I came away from the retreat with a renewed and deepened sense of family and connection. The retreat provided a respite from the everyday, and the chance to share time and break bread with so many open-hearted people. I left feeling peaceful and refreshed.

We had an amazing 4 days at the Honor Yoga Retreat. The setting was beautiful, the retreat house was incredible and comfortable. The company was fun and the Honor Yoga staff couldn't be better. Thank you for a revitalizing and stimulating time.

Thank you Mare and Pennington Honor Yoga for offering such a beautiful gateway for like-minded souls to convene and share away from all the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives. The Yoga Retreat at Orenda provided just the restorative respite and human connection that my spirit craved. The food was delicious and nourishing and eating family style with good ``old-fashioned`` conversation was nourishing as well. Christine and Charity, our Yoga teachers, led us in such meaningful classes with the Catskill mountains as a backdrop and we all enjoyed David the massage fairy who would drop in at the end of class and surprise us :). Good feelings abounded and I took away such nuggets to carry me until the next retreat. Much gratitude.

Meet your host!

About Megan

Revered by her students as an old soul, Megan’s style of yoga comes from a space of curious wisdom, gracious openness, and unconditional love. Her teachings will forever be inspired by her inquisitive mind and a desire for a deep understanding of the self. Megan believes that yoga is practiced not to remove ourselves from our thoughts and emotions but to observe and change the way that we relate to them. She is a facilitator and guide for those looking to start their journey along the yogic path, and her knack for weaving traditional yoga philosophy with a modern twist into her classes will leave any seeker coming back for more.

Megan completed her teacher training with Honor Yoga in which she gained a deep understanding of alignment and anatomy that is displayed in all of her classes. She continues to develop her knowledge and jumps at any opportunity to learn more so she can bring fresh ideas and content to her students. Megan’s creative vinyasa flow sequences explore strength, flexibility, and invigorating movement, her beginner classes break down everything there is to know, and her gentle classes include stretching, restoration, and renewal all within a safe energetic space for different bodies, ages, races, and gender identities to explore yoga and all that it encompasses. Megan is also a trained meditation teacher, and leads guided meditations both within and separately from her regularly scheduled classes. In each and every one of these classes, expect to be lead through a deeply transformational that includes not just physical asana, but explores all aspects of the practice of yoga.
