A Non-Profit Organization Focusing On Bringing Yoga to the Underserved

Donate Today

The Honor Yoga Foundation fosters peace and healing in our communities by providing yoga-related wellness programs to under-served and at-risk populations, funding research of yoga’s benefits, and supporting other like-minded organizations.

By Building upon our belief that the practice of yoga results in a greater feeling of community, connectedness, and gratitude, the Honor Yoga Foundation supports and promotes education and research by securing grants and donations with:

  • Supporting charitable organizations within our communities through funds raised from our donation-based classes that are part of every Honor Yoga studio’s regular schedule. To date, Honor Yoga has provided support to the Center for Wildlife Friends, the Alzheimer’s Association, Steps Together, Let’s Imagine, and ARDS.
  • Providing yoga and yoga-related wellness classes and programs to under-served and at-risk populations. Through strategic partnerships, we bring the practice of yoga, meditation and mindfulness to with local organizations like the Antonia Maria Foundation in New Brunswick.
  • Awarding scholarships and other forms of aid to qualified Honor Yoga students.
  • Fostering, promoting and disseminating yoga research, with an emphasis on teacher training, continued education for teachers, and yoga awareness programs.

How to Help

The generous financial support of our members and friends in the community helps bring the Foundation’s work to those in need.

Yoga For Mental Health Fund

1 in 5 people in America suffer from mental illness. It will come as no surprise that the various forms of yoga have long been acknowledged as allies in mastering the mind and coping with stress. Science is increasingly validating those claims, especially for depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). In single-blind trials, open-label studies, and studies of comparative responses to mass trauma provide a substantial scientific basis for recommending yoga as a CAM (Complementary & Alternative Medicine for Mental Health Conditions) treatment.

Honor Yoga Foundation has established the Ida Adriani Memorial Yoga for Mental Health Fund. All funds are 100% dedicated specifically to offering programs and retreats to benefit those suffering with mental illness. To support this fund, you can make a gift below and note it is for the Yoga for Mental Health Fund in the comments or you can mail to the address below with a notation on your check.
